Cover Supervisor - Secondary Alternative Provision - Harrow - Full-time, Long-term - October Start

We are seeking a passionate and resilient Cover Supervisor that can teach Maths & Science at a dynamic secondary alternative provision school in Harrow. This is a full-time, long-term role working with a small class of around 5 students, many of whom present with challenging behaviours and require a supportive, nurturing, and consistent learning environment.

You will play a vital role in helping students aged 11-16 re-engage with education, develop their confidence, and achieve meaningful outcomes in Maths and Science.

Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging Maths and Science lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
Create a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and progress.
Use a range of behaviour management strategies to support students with social, emotional, and behavioural needs.
Work closely with teaching assistants, pastoral staff, and external professionals to support student development.
Track and assess progress, providing constructive feedback and setting achievable targets.Requirements:

Tutoring experience
Experience teaching Maths and/or Science at secondary level (GCSE).
Previous experience working with students with challenging behaviours or in an alternative provision, PRU, or SEMH setting.
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to teaching.Benefits:
