Location: Leatherhead / Dartford / South Mimms (with travel across M25 network)
Contract Type: Permanent

We're looking for a Construction Engineer with specialised expertise in electrical works related to road and infrastructure projects. You'll play a key role in ensuring highway schemes on the M25 are delivered safely, to specification, and in full compliance with NEC contract requirements - from design review through to on-site delivery and final completion.

Key Responsibilities

Lead constructability reviews and contribute to project planning.

Act as NEC3/4 ECC Supervisor, ensuring contract compliance and issuing instructions where needed.

Supervise electrical works including lighting, power, and traffic systems.

Carry out site inspections, audits, and witness commissioning activities.

Review construction plans, H&S Files, and ensure documentation reflects completed works.

Identify and manage risks, defects, and quality issues throughout the build.

Liaise closely with designers, contractors, and project stakeholders.

Maintain detailed site records and progress reports.

What We're Looking For

Strong site-based experience on highways or infrastructure projects.

Working knowledge of NEC3/4 contracts (Supervisor accreditation desirable).

Understanding of electrical infrastructure (e.g. street lighting, cabling).

Degree or HND in Civil or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).

ECS or CSCS card (NHSS8 preferred).

Familiarity with BS7671 Wiring Regs and DMRB standards.

Confident communicator with a proactive, collaborative approach.

Willingness to travel across the M25 and support night/weekend shifts as required.
