Are you a highly resourceful, multi-skilled individual who takes pride in keeping facilities running smoothly? We are looking for a proactive and adaptable General Maintenance Worker to join our team in Witney. In this dynamic role, you'll be essential in ensuring our facilities remain in excellent working condition through a variety of hands-on tasks and effective problem-solving.

The Role and Your Impact

As our General Maintenance Worker, you'll be the go-to person for all general site upkeep. Your responsibilities will include:

Diverse Facility Maintenance: Execute a broad range of minor building repairs, including work on doors, windows, and fixtures. This also involves light maintenance on basic plumbing and electrical systems, as well as installing and mounting new equipment.
Reactive & Priority Management: Quickly and efficiently respond to all maintenance requests and unexpected issues. Your daily workload will shift based on the site's immediate needs, requiring you to effectively prioritise and manage multiple competing tasks.
Accurate Documentation: Use our computerised maintenance management system (CMMS) to accurately log, track, and close out all maintenance activities, ensuring a clear and detailed record of all site upkeep.
Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a key maintenance point of contact, communicating clearly and professionally with staff and other departments to understand, scope, and address their needs.

Pay Rate: £20.51 per hour
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4 pm
Contract Type: 1-year contract
Location: Witney

The ideal candidate for this role will possess:

Practical Multi-Skilled Experience: A proven comfort level with hands-on, practical work across various trade areas (e.g., carpentry, basic plumbing/electrical).
Adaptability and Problem-Solving: The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing work environment and handle unexpected issues with a solution-oriented and professional attitude.
Basic Computer Literacy: Competency with basic computer functions and the willingness to quickly learn and effectively use our maintenance logging system (CMMS).If you're ready to bring your practical skills and proactive approach to a busy team, we encourage you to apply!
