Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant – Autism & Special Educational Needs Support

Location: Aberdare, Rhondda Cynon Taf, Wales

Salary: £90.00 per day (competitive rates for temporary SEN support roles)

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with additional learning needs? We are currently seeking experienced and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join a leading specialist school in Aberdare, supporting learners with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder), Global Delay, and other SEN needs.

This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive educational environment, contributing to the development and growth of children with special educational needs across Welsh schools and settings.

Key Responsibilities:

* Support pupils with diverse SEN, including autism and global delays

* Assist class teachers in delivering tailored lesson plans

* Promote positive behaviour and a safe learning environment

* Provide one-to-one and group support to enhance learner engagement

* Help students access and participate in curriculum activities

* Encourage independence and social skills development

Requirements:

* Previous experience working with children with SEN, particularly ASD and Global Delay

* Compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach

* Strong communication and team collaboration skills

* Eligibility to work in the UK

* Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undertake one)

* Flexibility to work full or part-time hours from Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm
