The Role
We are seeking an experienced Slaughterman to join the team at their modern, well-equipped site near Taunton. The successful candidate will play a key role in the day-to-day slaughter operations, ensuring the highest standards of animal welfare, hygiene, and efficiency are maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

* Humane slaughter and dressing of livestock in accordance with company procedures and legislation

* Working efficiently as part of a skilled team to achieve production targets

* Ensuring strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards

* Maintaining a clean and organised working environment

* Supporting continuous improvement and quality control initiatives

About You:

* Previous experience as a Slaughterman or within a red meat processing environment

* Full understanding of animal welfare and relevant UK legislation

* Ability to work to high standards of accuracy and consistency

* Reliable, hardworking, and a strong team player

* Relevant licence or certificate of competence (CoC) preferred
