SEN Teaching Assistant - Lewisham

We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Lewisham This is a rewarding opportunity for someone looking to make a real difference in the lives of students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other complex needs.

Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Lewisham
Pay: £90-£95 per day
Start: Immediate/ASAP

About the Role:

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be working closely with students who have ASD and other complex needs. Your role will involve supporting their learning, encouraging engagement, and providing personal care when necessary. You will be a vital part of a committed SEN team, helping to create a safe and nurturing environment for every child.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with ASD and complex needs

Assist with daily routines and educational activities

Support with personal care, including toileting and feeding

Work collaboratively with teachers and therapists to implement tailored support plans

Foster a positive, inclusive, and encouraging learning atmosphere

Requirements:

Experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar support role

A caring, patient, and resilient attitude

Willingness to undertake personal care tasks

Strong communication skills and a proactive approach
