Year 2 Teacher (Education and Training): Walsall

We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 2 Teacher to work in a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Walsall. This is a fantastic opportunity for a committed educator who is passionate about making a positive impact on children's learning and development in Key Stage 1.

This Year 2 Teacher role is full-time and long-term, with the potential for a permanent position. You'll be joining a supportive school environment focused on high standards, creativity in the classroom, and nurturing young learners as they progress through the curriculum.

Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 curriculum.

Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress to ensure all learners achieve their potential.

Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.

Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents to promote pupil development.

Manage behaviour positively, promoting mutual respect and high expectations.

Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.

Experience teaching in Key Stage 1, ideally in Year 2.

A strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and assessment frameworks.

Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

A commitment to providing high-quality education and supporting pupil wellbeing.

An enhanced DBS check (we can support with this if needed).
