Specialist Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist (Band 6/7)

Are you a passionate and experienced Speech and Language Therapist looking to make a real difference in children’s lives?

Our Client is seeking a Specialist Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist (Band 6/7) to join their multidisciplinary team. This is a split role between Hurst Lodge School, Yateley (term time) and the Walton on Thames clinic. Part-time or term-time positions will also be considered.

About the Role
You’ll provide specialist therapy to children and young people with a range of speech, language, and communication needs, including ASD, Dyspraxia, Dyslexia, Sensory Processing Disorder, and speech and language delays. Your responsibilities will include:

Delivering 1:1, small group, and in-class therapy sessions

Conducting assessments using standardised and informal tools

Writing detailed clinical reports for initial assessments, EHCPs, and annual reviews

Devising child- and family-centred treatment plans and therapy goals

Maintaining high standards of clinical record-keeping

Collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams, parents, and schools

Participating in service development and monitoring standards of practice

What Our Client Offers

Full-time, 40 hours/week (part-time/term-time considered)

Salary: £38,500 – £47,000 FTE

Requirements 

Recognised Diploma/Degree in Speech & Language Therapy

HCPC registration and Licence to Practice

Clinical experience in paediatrics, both educational and clinical settings

Experience with children with complex needs including ASD, Dyspraxia, Sensory Processing Disorder, and neurological disorders

Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and organisational skills

Ability to work autonomously while being a supportive team member

Physically agile and able to work therapeutically at floor / table level

Car driver or reliable means to reach school/clinic sites
