Roma-Slovak Speaking Teaching Assistant - North Sheffield
Part-time or Full-time Position
Location: North Sheffield
Start Date: As soon as possible

Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a Roma-Slovak speaking Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in North Sheffield.

This rewarding role will involve supporting primary-aged pupils (EYFS-Year 6) to access learning and thrive in the classroom. You will work closely with teachers and support staff to help children develop their confidence, language skills and engagement in school life.

As part of your role, you will also assist with translation and interpretation, particularly during attendance meetings and communications with Roma-Slovak families.

Key Responsibilities:

Support pupils across EYFS to Year 6 with learning and development

Help pupils overcome language barriers and build confidence in English

Provide translation and interpreting support for parents and staff

Foster positive relationships between school and families

Work as part of a supportive and caring team

Requirements:

Fluency in Roma-Slovak and English

Experience working with children or in a school setting (preferred)

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

A patient, caring, and supportive attitude

The role can be offered on a part-time or full-time basis, depending on your availability.
