A trusted, family-run business with nearly four decades of experience in forklift trucks and materials handling solutions are seeking a Workshop Engineer to join their team due to continued expansion. 

As the Workshop Engineer you will:

Service, repair, refurbish, and maintain a variety of forklift trucks and material handling equipment.
Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs to ensure equipment reliability and safety.
Perform pre-delivery inspections (PDIs) to ensure machinery meets high performance and safety standards.
Collaborate with the workshop team to deliver outstanding service and support to our customers.

We are looking for a Workshop Engineer with the following qualifications / experience:

Mechanical or electrical engineering experience (ideally in forklifts, plant, automotive, or similar sectors).
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
A proactive, hands-on approach with excellent attention to detail.
Relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds) are beneficial but not essential – experience and attitude matter most.
Must hold a valid UK driver’s licence and be able to commute to our Wokingham workshop.

In return you will receive a salary of £28,000 - £35,000 per annum plus ongoing training and development – both in-house and with manufacturers, 22 days annual leave + bank holidays (increasing with each year of service), company pension scheme and additional benefits.
