The Finance Assistant will play a key role in supporting the accounting and finance department within the FMCG industry. This permanent position is based in Cornwall and focuses on ensuring smooth financial operations and accurate reporting.

Description

Assist with processing invoices, payments, and expense claims efficiently and accurately.
Maintain and reconcile financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
Support month-end and year-end financial processes, including preparing reports and documentation.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely completion of financial tasks.
Help monitor budgets and track expenditure against forecasts.
Respond to financial queries from internal and external stakeholders promptly.
Contribute to improving financial processes and systems within the department.
Assist in ensuring adherence to regulatory and compliance requirements in all financial activities.Profile

A successful Finance Assistant should have:

Strong numeracy skills and attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy in financial tasks.
Basic knowledge of accounting principles and familiarity with financial systems or software.
Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and willingness to support team objectives.
Experience in a similar role within the FMCG industry or related sectors is advantageous.
