SEMH Teaching Assistant - Lewisham - Secondary Complex needs school

Remedy is seeking to appoint an experienced Teaching Assistant for an SEMH School based in Lewisham.

The school is looking for a dynamic SEMH Qualified Teaching Assistant to work with a small Key Stage 3/4 class with no more than 9 children. All pupils are statemented with challenging behaviour and other additional needs. The school are looking for a strong PRU/SEN TA who has experience of working with children with challenging behaviour.

The position is long term and full time for the right teaching assistant. There is minimal planning and marking involved with this role.

To be considered for this role you must:

Be a Qualified PRU TA you must be Level 3 qualified (or equivalent)
Be Team Teach Trained
Have experience of Teaching in a PRU or SEMH school
Have excellent behaviour management
Have the ability to build rapport with young people
Have an understanding and empathy to social and emotional needs
Have recent experience within the last 2 years
