Learning Support Assistant – Primary School | Altrincham | Immediate Start

Are you a caring, patient, and proactive individual with a passion for supporting children with additional needs?

A warm and welcoming primary school in Altrincham is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to support pupils from EYFS to Key Stage 2. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a nurturing educational environment.

About the Role – Learning Support Assistant

Support a student with additional learning needs on a 1:1 basis and in small group settings
Help the student engage in class activities and progress towards their educational targets
Work closely with the class teacher and SEND team to deliver tailored support
Assist across the school day, helping to manage routines and encourage independence
Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and staff

What We’re Looking For

Experience in a school, nursery, or SEN setting is desirable
A calm, compassionate, and patient approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work independently and use your initiative
Relevant qualifications such as a Level 2 Teaching Assistant certificate or a degree in education, psychology or related field
