Electrical Installation Supervisor - (Water background is essential)

Hours: Monday–Thursday 08:30–17:15, Friday 08:30–16:00  
Contract Length: Initial 6 Months  
Rate: £450.00 - £500.00 per day (DOE)  

Location: Yateley & London, with travel to client sites (up to 3 hours away) 
Travel: Up to 20% of the working week (with accommodation provided where applicable)

We are currently seeking hardworking and resourceful Electrical Installation Supervisors to join our dynamic and growing team. In this role, you’ll survey, install, commission, and support site-based control systems and electrical equipment for our key clients across the UK. 

This is a hands-on, field-based role ideal for someone self-motivated, communicative, and flexible. While the focus is on electrical installation, there will be opportunities to develop basic PLC programming skills – full training provided. 

What You’ll Be Doing: 

Leading and supervising electrical installations on client sites 

Conducting system surveys and commissioning electrical control systems 

Supporting electrical and control panel installations 

Ensuring work meets high standards and agreed deadlines 

Liaising with clients and engineers to deliver successful project outcomes 

This is very much a site-based role. They may spend a maximum 1-2 days in the main office (London or Yateley) but the other days will be on site carrying out the electrical installation works. This site work could be other sites in the southeast. 

What We’re Looking For: 

Minimum 2 years’ practical experience in electrical supervisory roles 

Recognised electrical qualifications (C&G, NVQ3, ONC/HNC/HND, 18th Edition - BS7671:2018) 

ECS Gold Card or Black holder  

SSSTS or SMSTS qualification (highly desirable) 

Experience in electrical service, installation, or maintenance 

Familiarity with electrical design software (EPlan, AutoCAD – desirable) 

Knowledge of control panels, PLCs, or commissioning processes (advantageous) 

Strong communication skills (written and verbal) 

Experience in MEICA project delivery  

Strong IT literacy (Excel, Word, SharePoint, etc.  

Background in the Water Industry  

Full UK driving license 

Eligibility to work in the UK 

Bonus if you have:  

Thames Water Passport/Card  

No specific software/program experience required. 

Experience in control systems commissioning is highly beneficial. 

Familiarity with BBLs and Allen Bradley PLCs is highly beneficial 

Experience working with analogue signals is a bonus. 

Key Challenges & Expectations: 

Must be comfortable with site-based work and regular travel. 

Will work closely with an ICA Technician; ability to support fault finding is important. 

Hands-on experience in troubleshooting and on-site diagnostics is advantageous. 

Must-Haves:  

SMSTS or SSSTS – Essential  

CSCS Gold or Black Card – Essential  

Experience in MEICA project delivery  

Strong IT literacy (Excel, Word, SharePoint, etc.  

Background in the Water Industry
