Mobile Fitter
Location: Bishops Stortford & surrounding areas (based from Head Office – Redeham Hall)
Rate: £23.00 per hour (paid door to door)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 5:00pm
Type: Full-time, PAYE

About the Company
Our client is a well-established groundworks and concrete frame specialist, delivering projects valued between £1M and £50M across London and the South East. With a strong reputation for quality and safety, they are now looking for an experienced Mobile Fitter to join their team based from their head office in Redeham Hall, covering Bishops Stortford and surrounding areas.

The Role
You’ll play a key part in ensuring all plant and equipment operates safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime. This is a varied, hands-on role suited to a skilled and proactive fitter with experience in plant maintenance and fault-finding.

Key Responsibilities:

* Service, repair, and maintain plant and machinery to a high standard.

* Minimise downtime and ensure equipment is safe, compliant, and fit for purpose.

* Carry out regular inspections and preventative maintenance.

* Communicate effectively with the Breakdown Supervisor, workshop, and site teams.

* Quarantine unsafe plant and report defects immediately.

* Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with site rules, RAMS, and UK highway regulations.

* Accurately complete maintenance logs and job sheets via tablet.

* Promote safe working practices and uphold the company’s professional standards.

Experience & Skills Required:

* NVQ qualification in Plant Maintenance (essential).

* CSCS card (essential).

* CPCS/NPORS non-operative qualification (desirable).

* Strong plant and product knowledge.

* Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

* Driving licence.
