Junior Estimator – Scunthorpe (Full-Time, Permanent)

We’re seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Estimator to join a well-established construction business based in Scunthorpe. This role offers genuine career progression, hands-on training, and the chance to work on exciting commercial and industrial projects across the UK.

Key Responsibilities

*

Support the estimating team with administrative and project-related tasks.

*

Assist in preparing accurate material and labour cost estimates.

*

Liaise with project managers, procurement, and clients.

*

Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and tender documentation.

*

Carry out site visits to take measurements and assess requirements.

*

Research and evaluate costs for materials, subcontractors, and plant.

*

Complete measured take-offs using in-house software (training provided).

Qualifications & Requirements

*

BTEC Level 2 or higher in Construction / Engineering – preferred but not essential

*

Minimum of 3 GCSEs (including Maths and English) – preferred

*

Full UK Driving Licence – preferred

*

Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills

*

Strong communication and organisational abilities

*

Proactive approach with a willingness to learn and take on responsibility

Estimating Manager (Line Manager)

Group Sales Director (Department Lead)

Job Details

Type: Full-Time, Permanent

*

Location: Scunthorpe (with occasional site visits)

*

Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 17:00

*

Holidays: 28 days per year (including bank holidays)
