Fire Door Inspector

Pertemps is excited to be working with a top Fire and security company who are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Fire Door Inspector. This will involve ensuring that fire doors across commercial and residential buildings comply with safety regulations. You will be responsible for inspecting doors, identifying potential hazards, and recommending necessary actions to maintain safety and compliance.

Location: Remote Hybrid – Sites across South of England & office locations in Harlow, Essex & Hastings, East Sussex
Salary: £45-55k (depending on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

Inspect fire doors across various sites, checking hardware, seals, frames, and functionality.
Ensure proper installation, door operation, and compliance with fire safety standards.
Identify and document non-compliance issues and safety hazards.
Recommend repairs, replacements, or adjustments as needed.
Maintain accurate inspection records and report findings.
Work with building managers and contractors to address issues.
Stay updated with fire safety regulations and standards through CPD.

Required Skills & Experience:

Experience as a fire door inspector or in a related field.
Knowledge of fire safety regulations and fire door standards.
Certification in fire door inspection (e.g., FDIS or equivalent).
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify hazards.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Physical ability to conduct inspections and work with fire door systems.
