Secondary Teaching Assistant

Remedy is seeking a committed and compassionate Secondary Teaching Assistant to join the dedicated student support team at a mainstream school in Bristol. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to young people's lives - helping students overcome barriers to learning, thrive academically, and grow in confidence.

Salary: £100 - £125 per day, depending on experience
Location: Greenwich
Contract: Full-time, Term Time Only

This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same!

As a Secondary Teaching Assistant you will:

Support teaching and learning in the classroom and through small-group and one-to-one work.
Deliver and adapt learning activities under teacher guidance.
Assist students with SEND and those with English as an additional language.
Prepare engaging learning resources and classroom spaces.
Provide pastoral care and support wellbeing, behaviour and personal development.
Contribute to EHCPs and other student support plans.
Work closely with colleagues, parents, carers and external professionals.The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

Holds GCSE Maths and English (Grade A-C / 9-4)* or equivalent.
Has a Level 2 or above Teaching Assistant qualification.
Brings extensive experience of supporting students in an educational setting as a learning support assistant, teaching assistant, unqualified teacher etc
Has knowledge of safeguarding, SEND support and inclusive practice.
Possesses good behaviour management skills and remains calm under pressure.
