£18.28 per hour + Overtime Opportunities

Our Newark based client is looking for a Plant Skilled Welder to join their well-established team in Newark. This is a Full Time, Permanent opportunity.

THE ROLE

As a Plant Skilled Welder, you’ll be working within a small team in a workshop environment with the following duties:

* To carry out mobile welding and fabrication jobs as directed by the Welding Supervisor.

* To undertake general welding and manufacturing duties to a high standard using Welding techniques such as STICK, MIG & TIG.

* To undertake burning and grinding activities.

* To work with a wide range of materials and plant.

* Maintaining an adequate stock of welding parts by liaising with the Welding Supervisor and stores.

* To ensure that all operations are carried out safely and in accordance with the ruling company health & safety, quality and environmental policies, Integrated Management System and method statements.

* Checking equipment before its used and keeping it well maintained.

* To be familiar with the Works Package Plan as briefed on each project.

* To further knowledge and skills whilst striving for high work quality.

* To work as part of a team and communicate effectively.

THE CANDIDATE

The ideal Plant Skilled Welder will have practical and physical skills with an understanding of health and safety, as well as the following:

* Proven experience in welding and fabrication with experience in welding techniques (Stick, Tig & Mig).

* Friendly and approachable while professional.

* High level of accuracy, attention to detail and safety awareness.

* Will be organised and calm under pressure.

* Proactive, positive, and flexible to the needs of the business and the role.

* Ability to prioritise own work and work of others to meet deadlines and achieve targets in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
