School Kitchen Assistant

Kitchen Assistant – SEND School, Redhill

Location: Redhill, Surrey

Hours: Monday to Friday - 08:30-16:0

Contract: Term-time only - temporary to permanent

Are you passionate about supporting young people and creating a welcoming, nurturing environment? We’re looking for a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to join our friendly team at a Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) school in Redhill.

About the Role:

As a Kitchen Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in helping to prepare and serve nutritious meals for our pupils and staff. You’ll ensure the kitchen runs smoothly, maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety.

Main Responsibilities:

* Assist in preparing and serving meals and snacks

* Keep the kitchen and dining areas clean and tidy

* Wash up and manage kitchen equipment safely

* Support the catering team with deliveries and stock rotation

* Follow all food hygiene and safety guidelines

About You:

* Friendly, reliable, and a great team player

* A positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed

* Understanding of (or willingness to learn about) working in a SEND environment

* Previous catering or kitchen experience is desirable, and ideally a food hygiene qualification, but not essential — full training will be provided
