Shift Engineer - Mechanical or Electrical Bias (Kings Lynn)

Location: Kings Lynn (commutable from: Downham Market, Hunstanton, Wisbech, March, Spalding, and surrounding areas)

Are you a proactive Multi-skilled Engineer looking for a highly secure role with a global company that truly values its people?

We're seeking a hands-on Shift Engineer who thrives in a team environment and takes a proactive approach to maintenance, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.

The role:
You will be working a 4 on/4 off days & nights shift pattern, ensuring the smooth operation of all mechanical and electrical systems across production and site facilities. You will deliver high-quality work, support both engineering and production teams, and focus on maximising equipment uptime and efficiency, including:
* Performing mechanical and electrical maintenance in line with safety, quality, and company standards.
* Maintaining accurate documentation and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
* Responding to production needs and coordinating work with engineers and factory leadership.
* Liaising with contractors and sourcing essential spares cost-effectively.
* Keeping the workshop and work areas clean, following toolbox and safety procedures.

The package:
* Salary: c. £55,000 per year, with overtime paid at x1.5 and x2 on Sundays and bank holidays.

The ideal candidate:
* Apprentice-trained, multi-skilled engineer with a mechanical or electrical bias.
* Relevant engineering qualifications.
* Prior experience in food, FMCG, or manufacturing environments is preferred.
* Proactive team player with a strong sense of ownership and initiative.
* Positive, flexible, and committed to contributing to a supportive and family-like workplace culture.
