What You'll Be Doing as the successful maintenance engineer
* Delivering both planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdown support on a wide range of food production and machinery.
* Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults quickly and effectively to minimise downtime.
* Working with PLC-controlled equipment, conveyors, mixers, ovens, and automated packaging systems.
* Supporting continuous improvement and OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) initiatives.
* Ensuring all maintenance activities are carried out in line with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards.
* Collaborating closely with production and quality teams to maintain a smooth and efficient operation.

What you need as the successful maintenance engineer:
* Proven experience as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer within the FMCG or food manufacturing industry.
* Strong electrical and mechanical engineering skills, ideally with experience in fault finding and automation.
* Recognised engineering qualification or similar - NVQ Level 3, ONC/HNC, or City & Guilds in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
* Knowledge of PLC systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, and 3-phase systems.
* A proactive, team-focused approach and a keen eye for continuous improvement.
