SHEQ Advisor

£40,000 - £45,000

Cambridgeshire

Job Summary:

Are you ready to own a role where your decisions directly protect people, the environment, and the reputation of a growing business?

We're partnering with an established company within the Anaerobic Digestion sector, who is recruiting for a SHEQ professional who thrives on responsibility, loves solving problems, and is committed to raising standards every single day.

Role and Responsibilities:

Take charge of implementing and maintaining ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001 management systems.
Keep our SHEQ policies sharp reviewing, developing, and improving processes that matter.
Get out on-site: conduct inspections, audits, and risk assessments that make a real difference.
Ensure full compliance with legal, regulatory, and company SHEQ requirements.
Keep our records watertight: from incidents to audits, you'll track, report, and close the loop with corrective actions.
Lead investigations when things go wrong-and make sure they don't happen again.
Run SHEQ training and toolbox talks that actually engage people.
Be the driving force behind a strong safety culture.
Own SHEQ performance reporting-monthly metrics, delivered with clarity and insight.
Represent us with external auditors, regulators, and clients.
Safeguard health surveillance compliance-100%, no exceptions.

Skills and Qualifications:

NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) - must-have.
Strong working knowledge of ISO management systems (auditor certification? Even better).
Proven SHEQ experience (ideally 2+ years, Anaerobic Digestion, or similar experience a big plus).
Solid understanding of current legislation and best practice.
A proactive, accountable mindset-you don't wait to be told, you make it happen.
A team player who can work cross-functionally to deliver big business goals.
Confident building trust with colleagues, clients, and regulators alike.
Problem solver. Long-term thinker. Solution implementer.
