The Opportunity:

Kenton Black Finance are currently recruiting for a full-time and permanent Credit Controller on behalf of a business that is based in the Ulverston area. This company has a turnover of circa 14 million pounds, and has been operating for over 40 years. You will be able to work on a hybrid basis (working 2 days a week from home) and the working hours are flexible. You'll have excellent communication skills, be a team player, and full training will be given. Salary and Benefits:

- A salary of £26,500 - £28,500
- Hybrid working (2 days a week from home)

Your New Role as the Credit Controller:

• Create new customer accounts ensuring all information is correct for sales and finance reporting and maintain ongoing amendments
• Credit check new and existing accounts to establish suitable credit limits, ensuring insurance is in place where necessary
• Contact customers to determine payment dates for invoices and chase overdue debt as necessary
• Process all invoicing runs, including worldwide /consolidated invoices for the Company daily including EDI system taking responsibility for the resolution of any issues
• Ensure final and debt collector letters are sent to customers within required timescales
• Manage awaiting credit listing and, where necessary, request debit notes from customers to clear journals and liaise with other departments to follow to resolution
• Produce daily 'On Stop' listing for sales and analyse requests for release of credit stopped orders
• Process credit card and cheque payments in line with internal and process requirements whilst ensuring compliance with WL PCI DSS Policy
• Post cash to customers from bank statements printed from the Company's banking facilities, cheques and credit card payments
• Contact the bank with queries
• Deal with Rep and customer queries
• Ensure process documentation exists for all tasks, is accurate, up to date and followed
• Provide cover and assistance where necessary to other members of the finance department
• Ensuring that ideas and suggestions are made so that continuous improvement is part of the day to day life in Finance
