Description

A well-established precision engineering company specialising in plastic injection moulding is looking for a dedicated Quality Controller to join its growing team. Supplying technically complex components to industries including medical, electronics, water management, and defence, the company has built a strong reputation for quality, innovation, and reliability.

As the Quality Controller, you'll play a key role in ensuring all products meet strict process and customer specifications - from approving First-Offs to carrying out regular inspections and escalating any issues promptly.

Key duties of the Quality Controller:

Inspect and monitor production to ensure all First-Offs and Last-Offs meet specification.
Complete and maintain all relevant documentation accurately.
Support operators to ensure they understand and meet required quality standards.
Contribute to 8D project teams, assisting with investigation, analysis, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
Operate and program specialised measuring equipment to carry out dimensional checks.
Analyse scrap data and escalate any concerns to the Quality Engineer.

For the role of Quality Controller, the ideal candidate will have the following:

Proven experience in quality inspection within a manufacturing environment, ideally plastics.
Skilled in using measuring tools such as digital callipers, shadow graphs, pin gauges, and slip gauges.
Confident reading and interpreting quality check sheets and basic engineering drawings.
Computer literate with working knowledge of MS Office and MRP systems.
Detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about continuous improvement.
