Job: CAMO Engineer - UK CAA Part-CAMO
Location: Stanstead

Role purpose

Deliver compliant, effective continuing airworthiness management for UK-registered Part 21 aircraft within a UK CAA-approved Part-CAMO, supporting the organisation's Management System (SMS + compliance monitoring) and, where authorised, performing/assisting airworthiness reviews and ARC recommendations/issuance. (CAMO.A.200, CAMO.A.315; UK Reg (EU) 1321/2014 as retained/ amended).

Key Responsibilities (mapped to Part-CAMO)

Management System / SMS participation: Work within the CAMO Management System, contributing to hazard identification, safety reporting, risk assessment/mitigation and safety performance monitoring; support internal audits and findings closure. (CAMO.A.200 + AMC/GM).
Fleet continuing airworthiness management: Plan, coordinate and control all continuing airworthiness tasks per Part-M/Part-ML as applicable; ensure maintenance is ordered, supervised and released appropriately by approved Part-145/Part-CAO/Part-M Subpart F organisations. (CAMO.A.315; M.A.301/ML.A.301).
Maintenance Programme (AMP): Develop, justify and maintain AMPs; manage reliability/MSG-3 inputs and ensure timely escalation of findings. (Part-M/ML; CAMO.A.315).
Airworthiness Directives & continuing airworthiness data: Control ADs, SBs and other mandatory/controlled data; ensure embodiment planning, records and status tracking. (CAMO.A.315 with Part-M/ML task set).
Configuration control & records: Maintain aircraft configuration, life-limited parts status, and complete continuing airworthiness records to regulatory standards; ensure data integrity/readiness for CAA oversight. (CAMO.A.315).
Contracted maintenance oversight: Manage/monitor maintenance contracts and performance of contracted/subcontracted organisations; coordinate workpacks and findings closure. (CAMO.A.315(c)).
ARC / Airworthiness Reviews (if authorised): Prepare and, where authorised, perform airworthiness reviews and make recommendations or issue/extend ARCs (CAA Forms 15a/15b/15c) in accordance with privileges held. (CAMO.A.310; CAA ARC guidance; CAA Part-CAMO approval pages).
Safety reporting & occurrence management: Raise MORs/occurrence reports as needed; track corrective actions; feed back into the SMS. (CAMO.A.200 AMC/GM).
CAME adherence & change control: Work in accordance with the CAME; contribute to updates and compliance checklists. (CAMO.A.300; CAP2153).
Regulatory liaison: Support CAA audits/surveillance and maintain awareness of changes to AMC/GM adopted by the CAA (ORS9 Decisions).
Essential qualifications & experience

Technical background: Aeronautical engineering degree or equivalent vocational route/apprenticeship with substantial aircraft continuing-airworthiness exposure.
Experience: Typically 5 years' relevant experience (with ≥2 years in the aeronautical industry in an appropriate role), aligned with AMC1 CAMO.A.305(c).
Regulatory knowledge: Demonstrable knowledge of UK Reg (EU) 1321/2014, Annex Vc (Part-CAMO), and applicable elements of Part-M/Part-ML, Part-145, and Part 21 Subpart P (Permits to Fly interfaces).
SMS & compliance monitoring literacy: Practical familiarity with hazard/risk processes, safety reporting, and internal auditing in line with CAMO.A.200 AMC/GM.
IT & data skills: Competent with CAMO management/records systems and reliability/AMP toolsets.
UK Part-147 type training exposure advantageous for engineering judgement and ARS competency development. (AMC to CAMO.A.310 on knowledge of types).
Airworthiness Review Staff (ARS) experience/authorisation (or readiness to attain) in line with CAMO.A.310 & CAA guidance.
