An award winning packaging manufacturer is looking for a Production and Purchasing Administrator to help to take the business to the next stage of its journey.
 
BASIC SALARY: £30,000 - £40,000

JOB DESCRIPTION: Production and Purchasing Administrator - Packaging Manufacturing
 
Reporting to the Managing Director, as them Production and Purchasing Administrator, you will be a very hands on individual who will be required to maintain minimum stock levels, plan production, purchase all the raw materials, as well as material requirements planning.
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Production and Purchasing Administrator - Packaging Manufacturing
 
A more detailed brief will be made available to those who are shortlisted but in short, you will be responsible for:
· Materials Requirements Planning - using our Sage software you will keep a check on raw material levels, future production needs and current stock levels.
· Raw materials purcashing - you will be responsible for placing and progressing purchase orders through our approved suppliers.
· Maintaining minimum stock levels - you will be responsible for ensuring raw material stock levels are maintained to ensure sales orders and the production plans are achieved.
· Production planning - working closely with the sales, production and transport departments you will assist with the production and transport plan to ensure sales order delivery dates are met
· Resource management and maintenance - you will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance programme of machines and the site is followed
· Sales Order Processing - assisting with inputting and acknowledging all sales orders, answering customer enquiries, sending quotations.
 
PERSON SPECIFICATION: Production and Purchasing Administrator - Packaging Manufacturing
 
We would be delighted to receive applications from individuals who meet the following brief:
· Excellent communication skills-both verbally and in writing.
· Experience in Manufacturing
· Ideally knowledge of Production Planning or Purchasing
· Strong prioritisation skills to manage workload effectively.
· Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
· Proficiency in Excel, Word, and SAGE.
· Solid understanding of financial processes.
· Knowledge of logistics is a plus but not essential.
· A willingness to learn and embrace challenges
