The PaySimple engineering team is looking for motivated quality assurance engineers to join us in building a SaaS and integrations platform that provides eCommerce, payments, and invoicing solutions for small and medium-sized businesses. You: Your mission is to break stuff and then to ensure that it never breaks again. You gain great satisfaction from finding bugs in software and are not shy about pointing them out. You have a rigorous approach for software testing, and your motto is a bug is a test case that fails. You are extremely detail-oriented, and you dont like it when issues fall through the cracks on your watch. Us: PaySimple is an early-stage growth company building a top-flight engineering team. We believe in working at a sustainable pace - youll typically work hard for 8 hours each day, but then you are off work to relax, recharge, and refocus. Where PaySimple is located in Denvers RiNo district. Our collaborative, open-plan office space is filled with high-energy, talented people who enjoy our weekly lunches, table tennis, and hanging out with their co-workers. Our team will be working remotely through the March of 2021, but the ideal candidate will already be based in Denver, as this role will require in-office work when the office reopens. Experience and Skills Must haves: - 3+ years of experience in a software quality assurance role - Experience designing and executing manual and automated tests for web-based software, APIs, and mobile applications - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field - Working knowledge of HTTP and RESTful services, iOS and Android testing, and end-to-end test frameworks such as Cypress and Protractor - Commitment to test-driven development, continuous integration, and test automation - Experience working in an Agile development environment - Ability to learn quickly - Comfortable working at a small dynamic company - Ability to translate business goals into own work assignments and succeed with little management direction - Encourages and accepts personal feedback - Can use judgment to solve problems where protocol might not exist Nice to haves: - Background in transaction processing or payment systems - Experience with Jira, Zephyr, and Postman - Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, MongoDB, or Elasticsearch - Desire to debate and explore new technologies Responsibilities: - Work with a team of payment industry experts to improve the quality of sophisticated software for a state-of-the-art SaaS application and APIs - Design and develop comprehensive functional and non-functional test plans for new and existing software features - Execute and maintain manual and automated test suites in local and cloud environments - Ensure best practices and standards are followed; maintain and oversee proper documentation - Accurately document defects with reproducible steps, root cause, and failure analysis Benefits and Perks: - Competitive salary - Robust medical benefits & 401k - Public Transportation reimbursement - Gym stipend - Start with 17 days of PTO and your birthday off - Snacks, lunches, and happy hours - Continued investment in your professional development EverCommerce is an equal opportunity employer that values diversity at our company.
