Maintenance Technician (Electrical Bias)

Pay rate: £19.50/hour + 22% shift rate

Min 2 years in machine maintenance

Location: Skelmersdale

Working hours: 6am - 2pm , 2pm - 10pm Mon to Thurs. 6am - 12pm, 11am - 4.35pm Fri

Duties :

To carry out planned and reactive maintenance tasks with a focus on electrical systems, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of facilities and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform preventive and reactive maintenance on electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, and control systems.
Mainly working on automated lines , lines consist of robots , ultra sonic welders and laser, labellers.
Conduct statutory testing (e.g., emergency lighting, RCD testing, PAT testing).
Diagnose and repair electrical faults and minor mechanical issues.
Maintain accurate records of work completed and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Collaborate with other trades and contractors to complete maintenance tasks.
Respond to emergency breakdowns and ensure minimal disruption to operations.

Qualifications & Experience:

Experience of Robots and PLCS are a strong advantage
18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification (Required).
Time served or NVQ level trained in electrical installation/maintenance Machine maintenance background

Skills:

Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication and organisational skills.
Commitment to safety and quality standards.
