TIG Welder – Full-Time, Permanent

Location: Bridport, Dorset
Salary: Up to £17 per hour (depending on experience & weld test)

Be part of a growing, dynamic welding team! Our client specialises in precision sheet metal fabrication for a wide range of industries, including electronics, medical, transport, and construction. This is a great opportunity to work with a variety of materials—mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium—and advance your welding skills in a supportive environment.

What You’ll Do:

Carry out daily TIG welding operations (MIG welding experience is a bonus!).
Interpret engineering drawings and follow Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS).
Maintain a safe, organised workspace and adhere to all health & safety procedures.
Deliver high-quality work to defined tolerances and standards.
Collaborate with production and quality teams to meet schedules and resolve welding or quality issues.
Be flexible to work overtime when needed to meet customer deadlines.
What We’re Looking for:

Qualifications: Minimum 4 GCSEs (or equivalent), welding-specific qualification or evidence of time served.
Experience: Proven TIG welding experience; MIG experience is a plus.
Skills: Ability to interpret engineering drawings, strong fabrication knowledge, attention to detail, good practical skills, and a reliable work ethic.
What’s on Offer:

Permanent, full-time role.
Hours: Monday – Thursday 08:00 – 17:00, Friday 08:00 – 13:00 (39 hours/week).
Competitive pay: Up to £17/hour depending on experience & weld test.
