Job Title: Shovel/Loader Operator (Port Operations)

Job Summary:

Responsible for safely and efficiently operating a shovel/loader within ship holds to manage biomass and other cargo during vessel discharge and loading. This hands-on role supports stevedoring operations and requires flexibility to work varying hours based on ship schedules.

Key Duties:

Operate shovel/loader inside ship holds.
Support cargo discharge/loading as part of the stevedoring team.
Perform equipment checks and maintain a safe, clean work area.
Follow health, safety, and environmental procedures, particularly regarding dust and confined spaces.
Assist with manual handling and other port tasks as needed.Requirements:

Experience operating shovel/loaders in confined environments.
Strong safety awareness, especially with biomass materials.
Team-oriented, reliable, and physically fit.
Flexible with working hours tied to vessel schedules.Desirable:

Port or stevedoring experience, relevant licenses (telehandler, forklift), or safety training.Cost Code: S96
