About the Role:
We are seeking an inspiring and dynamic Lead Practitioner of Science to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and experienced science educator to lead innovation, support colleagues, and drive excellence across the science curriculum. You will play a pivotal role in shaping high-quality teaching and learning, fostering a culture of curiosity, and ensuring all students achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and develop outstanding teaching and learning across the science department.

Support and mentor colleagues, promoting best practice and continuous professional development.

Contribute to curriculum planning, assessment strategies, and student progress monitoring.

Drive innovation and inspire engagement in science through enrichment activities and initiatives.

Lead projects and initiatives that enhance teaching, learning, and outcomes in science.

Person Specification:

Proven experience as a highly effective science teacher, with a strong record of student achievement.

Leadership experience within a school setting is desirable.

*

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff and students.

Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and innovative approaches to science education.

*

Commitment to professional development and ongoing improvement.
