Description

Humly is recruiting on behalf of a supportive primary school in Milnthorpe, near Kendal, who are looking to appoint two experienced Teaching Assistants on a permanent basis. These are term-time contracts, subject to SEN pupil funding, with working hours of 30 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm, less 1 hour lunch).

What You’ll Be Doing

*

Supporting pupils in class with learning and daily routines

*

Providing targeted SEN support, both 1:1 and in small groups

*

Assisting teachers with lesson preparation, activities and classroom management

*

Promoting positive behaviour and contributing to a safe, inclusive learning environment

What You’ll Bring

*

Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting (essential)

*

Confidence in supporting children with SEN and mixed ability learning

*

A patient, adaptable and proactive approach to supporting children’s learning

*

A valid Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply) and two suitable references

Salary: £17,216 – £17,486 per annum (NJC Scale 2, Points 3–4, pro rata for term-time)

Permanent, term-time contract (30 hours per week) plus 1 week for INSET days
