Agricultural Engineer Job Overview

Diagnose and repair faults on agricultural machinery and equipment
Carry out scheduled maintenance and servicing on a variety of machinery (tractors, implements, trailers, etc.)
Undertake welding and fabrication tasks, including bespoke metalwork
Support in the build and modification of custom machinery
Maintain a safe and tidy working environment in the workshop and on-site
Provide high-quality customer service, ensuring client satisfaction
Work both independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines

Agricultural Engineer Job Requirements

Proven experience in agricultural engineering, machinery repair, or mechanical maintenance
Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
Welding and fabrication skills essential (MIG/TIG/Arc)
Full UK driving licence (trailer/towing experience advantageous)
Ability to read technical manuals and interpret machinery schematics
Self-motivated with a practical, can-do attitude
Flexibility to work occasional overtime or support on-site jobs

Agricultural Engineer Salary & Benefits

Salary between £30,000 and £35,000, based on experience
