At Rising Talent Recruitment, we’re on the lookout for a curious, hands-on Plant Chemist who’s ready to make their mark in a well-established manufacturing company in West Lothian.

This isn’t your average lab job — you’ll be out on the plant floor as much as in the lab, getting involved in everything from:

Testing and selecting raw materials

Developing and optimising processes

Troubleshooting live production issues

Colour matching (yes, you’ll get creative too!)

Driving new product development and making real improvements happen

If you’re someone who loves rolling up your sleeves, solving tricky problems, and working with different teams to turn ideas into reality, this could be the role for you.

What we’re looking for:

A degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, Materials Science (or similar)

Experience with product development or process optimisation

Confidence with data, testing, and scaling formulas from lab to production

A great communicator who can bring technical info to life for non-technical teams
