Role Overview
The Contract Surveyor will manage the financial and contractual aspects of repairs contractors, ensuring compliance, safety, and high standards across the company's housing stock. The role includes overseeing repairs from inception to completion, monitoring budgets, contractor performance, and ensuring works are delivered on time and to quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Manage financial and contractual aspects of repairs contracts

Oversee client-side repairs from inception to completion, securing necessary approvals

Ensure works comply with legislation, health and safety, and best practice

Deliver high-quality building services and maintenance to the company's homes and clients’ properties

Monitor contractor performance against KPIs and budgets, chair monthly contract meetings

Undertake property inspections and inspect contractor works for compliance with Decent Homes, HHSRS, and statutory duties

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless customer service delivery

Stakeholder Management: Maintain positive relationships with partners, contractors, and stakeholders

Customer Focus: Support delivery of customer service strategies

Strategic Awareness: Understand how the role contributes to wider company objectives

Health, Safety & Wellbeing: Ensure all work complies with legislation and promote wellbeing commitments

People Management: Support and develop colleagues, encourage open communication, and model the company's behaviours

Financial & Commercial Awareness: Demonstrate understanding of the company's operating context within the housing sector

Diversity & Inclusion: Promote inclusive culture and Allyship programme

Requirements

BTEC HND (or equivalent) in a construction-related discipline

Full UK driving licence

Knowledge of housing sector legislation, health & safety, and best practice

Proven track record in managing repairs and maintenance contracts

Strong stakeholder and contractor management skills

Ability to work collaboratively across teams
