Primary School SEN Teaching Assistant

Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant seeking a rewarding opportunity to start ASAP?

Do you have experience working with children who have additional needs such as ASD, ADHD & SEMH?

A welcoming, inclusive and well led primary school in Chingford - Waltham Forest, London are seeking 2 Teaching Assistants to join them in October and November 2025 for a long-term contract until at least July 2026. This is an opportunity to work closely with pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs, helping them thrive both academically and socially.

This is an ideal role for someone with a solid foundation in SEN support who is ready to take the next step in a rewarding, school-based career or a recent graduate who is wanting to embark on a career in education.

* 2 Positions available
* Long term contract till at least July 2026
* £90- £115 per day / £450 - £575 per week

This Primary SEN Teaching Assistant role will entail working one-to-one or in small groups with pupils with additional needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language delays, and social-emotional difficulties.

You will collaborate with class teachers, SENCOs, and external specialists to deliver tailored interventions. It is a really rewarding role to help children thrive in their education journey.

The Ideal SEN Teaching Assistant:

Previous experience working as a SEN Teaching Assistant in a school or similar educational setting
Or a recent graduate from UK with a relevant degree e.g Psychology, Education or SEN etc
Strong understanding of a variety of special educational needs (e.g., ASD, ADHD, SEMH)
Calm, patient, and resilient in challenging situations
Confident in delivering 1:1 and group interventions
Excellent communication skills and ability to build trust with pupils and staff
Passion for inclusive education and a commitment to professional developmentSchool Details:
