Job Opportunity: HLTA - SEN School in Royston (Herts/Cambridgeshire Border)

Location: Royston, Hertfordshire/Cambridgeshire Border
Position: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Simply Education is working closely with a specialist SEN (Special Educational Needs) school near Royston, on the Hertfordshire/Cambridgeshire border, to recruit a passionate and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA).

This is a rewarding opportunity for an experienced professional who is committed to supporting children with a variety of special educational needs, helping them achieve both academically and personally in a supportive and inclusive setting.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

HLTA qualification (essential)
Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2/3 or equivalent)
Experience working in SEN school settings or with children with additional needs
A genuine passion for working with children with special educational needs
Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
Patience, resilience, and a flexible approach to learning and behaviour supportKey Responsibilities:

Delivering planned lessons and activities under the guidance of the teaching team
Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils with varying SEN needs
Assisting in the planning, preparation, and assessment of learning activities
Creating a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment
Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to meet individual pupil needsWhat's On Offer:
