We are working in partnership with a large, well-established special school in Handsworth that caters for pupils aged 2–19 with a wide range of needs, including SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties), PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties), Autism and complex needs.

They are looking for an experienced and dedicated teaching assistant to work on both a day to day basis and long term!

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide tailored classroom support to pupils with a range of additional needs

* Work 1:1 and in small groups to promote engagement and learning

* Assist with personal care when required

* Contribute to creating a positive, inclusive and safe learning environment

Requirements:

* Previous experience working in a special school or SEN setting is essential

* Strong understanding of supporting pupils with additional needs

* Adaptable, patient and resilient approach

* Ability to commit to a full-time, long-term position
