Astute's Nuclear team is partnering with a business experienced across decommissioning, waste management, and more recently from engineering design, R&D, and refurbishment.

This is a talentpool advert and the client has a constant need for this skillset.

The Mechanical Technician role comes with a base salary of £43,000 per annum and a wealth of benefits, including enhanced overtime rates, and a lodge allowance.

Key skills

Performing plant operations, installations, assembly, dismantling, and other activities on equipment within the site and workshop environment on general plant and equipment.

Greater Reading Area
37.5 hours a week (standard hours)
Non-enforced overtime (12 hour days, 11 days on 3 days off shift options)
£43,000 per annum with enhanced overtime rates (37.5-60 hours: time and a half | 60+ hours and Sundays: double time)
£200 weekly lodge allowance (over 50 miles).
£25 daily food/drink allowance (over 50 miles).
Comprehensive healthcare plan.
