Hybrid working: 3 days office based, 2 days home

Location: York

Pay rate: £12.30/hr

Working for a large respected charity in York, we are looking for a reliable individual Payroll Administrator, ideally with experience in payroll who understands payroll legislation, but if not, someone with an eye for detail, numeracy / processing experience, good intermediate Excel (VLOOK Ups etc) and data entry skills.

The role is working within a fast-paced payroll department, within a supportive team, that is responsible for providing an effective and professional Payroll administration service.

Your role as Payroll Administrator will involve:

* Accurately processing timesheets, expenses, absence data, starters, leavers and any other changes onto the payroll system.

* Assist in the inputting and checking of monthly payroll data.

* Dealing with straightforward Payroll queries, referring more complex queries to the Payroll Officers.

* Assisting with balancing / reconciliation checks for Payroll.

* Assisting with payslip distribution.

* Undertaking routine tasks such as filing, scanning and photocopying, etc.

A full handover will be given and then ongoing mentoring, support and advice.
