Job Vacancy: Food Technology Teacher (Maternity Cover) – Secondary School, Colne
Start Date: 1st January 2026
Contract: Full-Time, Fixed-Term Maternity Cover
Location: Colne, Lancashire

We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Food Technology Teacher to join our vibrant secondary school in Colne on a full-time maternity cover basis starting from January 1st, 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional who loves inspiring students through practical, creative, and engaging food technology lessons.

As a Food Technology Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4, developing students’ knowledge and skills in food preparation, nutrition, and design technology. You will create a stimulating learning environment that encourages creativity, healthy living, and confidence in practical skills.

The ideal candidate will hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have experience teaching Food Technology or a related subject at secondary level. You should be organised, adaptable, and enthusiastic about contributing to a supportive and forward-thinking department. A strong commitment to student progress and well-being is essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
