Teaching Assistant (SEMH Support) – Full Time
Location: Colne, Lancashire
Contract: Full-time, term-time only

Are you passionate about supporting young people to achieve their full potential? We are seeking a dedicated and resilient Teaching Assistant to join our secondary school team, providing vital support for students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with SEMH needs, both in and outside the classroom.
Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities and interventions.
Help pupils develop social and emotional skills, resilience, and positive behaviour strategies.
Monitor and record progress, providing feedback to teachers and pastoral staff.
Support the wider inclusion team in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment.
Contribute to school life, promoting inclusion and celebrating success.
The Successful Candidate Will Have:

Experience of working with young people, ideally within an educational or SEMH setting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
Patience, empathy, and resilience when supporting pupils with additional needs.
The ability to work as part of a team and follow guidance from teachers and SENCO.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
