What Meetings & Events contributes to Cardinal Health

Meetings and Events is responsible for the development, planning and implementation of internal and external meetings, events, and trade shows aligned with strategic business and brand objectives.

- Demonstrates knowledge of meeting planning and project management practices.

- Negotiates, manages and/or implements budgets and contracts with external vendors.

- Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and serves as a strategic advisor to clients.

- Utilizes software to track registration, budgets, logistics and other information for meetings & events.

- Translates the goals and objectives of meetings and events into a positive and effective experience.


- Bachelors degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred.

- 5+ years experience in related field, preferred.

- Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) preferred.

- Strong CVENT experience preferred.

- Experience with pharmaceutical meetings preferred.

- Works on complex projects of varying scope

- Develops technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Solutions are innovative and consistent with organization objectives

- Completes work independently receives general guidance on new projects

- Extensive multitasking ability to manage many items in various stages at the same time

- Work reviewed for purpose of meeting objectives

- May act as a mentor to less experienced colleagues


- Plan and execute meetings per customer and compliance guidelines, ensuring costs stay within budget

- Confirm and contract venues, coordinate audio visual arrangements, and manage graphic orders for all programs.

- Create meetings in CVENT and Salesforce for registration and tracking purposes.

- Develop and execute all on-site materials, including sign in sheets, participant lists, evaluations, and reimbursement forms.

- Manage working budgets from launch of the project through reconciliation.

- Coordinate all meeting logistics, including working with the internal travel coordinator, account manager and recruiting team.

- Manage attendee correspondence, including reminders, confirmations and personalized agendas.

- Verify and process honoraria and expense reimbursement

- Including collecting contracts and W9s and monitoring compliance to all guidelines.

- Process vendor payments.

- Work directly with coordinators to print, pack and ship meeting supplies and meeting materials needed for meeting

- Serve as onsite facilitator and primary contact for the venue and attendees.

- Create all close out reports related to the meetings such as summary of evaluations, finalized participant reports, and financial reconciliations.
