Are you a people-focused problem solver with a passion for delivering excellent customer service in a housing environment? We’re working with a respected social housing provider to recruit an enthusiastic Resident Services Officer – the first point of contact for residents and a vital part of the customer experience.

🔍 The Role

As a Resident Services Officer, you’ll be the go-to contact for residents, visitors, and contractors – whether it's via phone, email, webchat, or in person. You’ll take ownership of repairs requests, coordinate works, and ensure issues are followed through efficiently and effectively.

Your role will blend customer service, admin, coordination, and housing knowledge. No two days will be the same – you’ll need to think on your feet, stay calm under pressure, and communicate clearly with people from all walks of life.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

* Be the first point of contact for resident queries

* Diagnose repairs and schedule works using specialist systems

* Liaise with contractors and monitor progress

* Match and process invoices

* Coordinate the work of maintenance operatives

* Resolve complaints or dissatisfactions efficiently

* Support residents with permission requests and tenancy terminations

* Provide general administrative support to the housing team

✅ What We’re Looking For

Essential:

* Strong communication and customer service skills

* Experience in a similar resident-facing or housing-related role

* Basic IT literacy

* Highly organised with great time management

* Able to work well under pressure and on your own initiative

* Trustworthy, discrete, and flexible team player

Desirable:

* Knowledge of housing management or repairs & maintenance processes

* Understanding of Housing Associations or social housing operations
