Job Description Shell Energy North America seeks a trader to trade power and natural gas in our North East regional markets. This role will provide training and development to the successful candidate.



Job Responsibilities:

* Accountable to make physical and financial decisions related to power and natural gas trading in Shells regional markets focusing on short term congestion



* Develop short term trading strategies based on short and mid-term market views



* Produce profitable trading results while operating within a defined risk, credit and contract parameter



* Coordinate with power trading and scheduling to deliver profitable trading solutions



* Work with all relevant functional groups including accounting, operations, credit and risk management to ensure processes and policies are followed



* Interact and provide the sales and origination team members with strategies and risk assessments that enhance short term deal flow and overall profitability



* Understand and contribute to team goals and objectives to help ensure they are met

Requirements

* Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer and without sponsorship



* Bachelors degree in Economics, Business, Finance or a related field



* 1 or more years of trading support or related experience is required



* Must be able to interpret supply and demand fundamentals as they relate to trading



* Strong Excel and MS work abilities



* Experience with IO/Endur/SAP a plus



* Experience with trade book reconciliation practices is a plus
