TEXO Recruitment are currently looking for a Finance Administrator on behalf one of our valued external clients located in Blyth, Northumberland. Our client specialises within the Offshore Energy and Renewables sector and is offering an excellent opportunity to join their established, office based finance team. The successful candidate will work closely with the Finance Director and will be supported with career development, making this role ideal for someone eager to grow within the finance field.
Key Responsibilities
* Process, post, reconcile, and analyse cashbook transactions.
* Prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
* Manage petty cash and company credit cards.
* Assist in preparing management accounts, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
* Investigate and analyse profit & loss and income/expenditure accounts.
* Support the purchase ledger by processing invoices and payments.
* Provide financial analysis for business units.
* Assist senior management, accountants, and the wider finance team.
* Support accounts preparation internal projects.
* Oversee utility accounts, including mobile phone contracts.
* Contribute to year-end preparation and liaise with auditors.
* Support sales invoicing and credit control functions.
* Maintain the fixed asset register.
* Handle statutory and governmental submissions.
Requirements
* Minimum 2 years experience in a finance role (Essential).
* Proven bookkeeping experience (Essential).
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (Essential).
* Hands-on experience with finance/ERP systems (Essential).
* Strong enthusiasm, communication, and interpersonal skills; collaborative team player (Essential).
* Excellent numerical and analytical skills with the confidence to challenge when necessary (Essential).
* Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage shifting priorities and meet deadlines (Essential).
* Experience with Sage Finance/ERP (Desirable).
* Understanding of prepayments, accruals, and journals (Desirable).
