Graduate Teaching Assistant

Location: Caldicot

Hours: 8.30am-3pm

Rate: From £82.50 - £95 per day.

Start date:  ASAP

Teaching Personnel is proud to be working in partnership with a well-regarded co-educational secondary school in Caldicot, catering to students aged 11–18 of all abilities. The school is currently seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and reliable Teaching Assistant to join their Wellbeing Team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking to take their first step into the education sector. Whether you're a recent graduate or someone with relevant personal experience, this role offers on-site training and the chance to gain recognised qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils.
Assist the classroom teacher with lesson preparation and delivery.
Create a welcoming and inclusive environment that promotes student wellbeing.
Help prepare learning materials and resources.
Build positive relationships with students to support their academic and emotional development.
Ideal Candidate Will Have:

A flexible, dependable, and proactive approach.
A friendly and approachable manner.
A genuine passion for education and helping children succeed.
Requirements

Enhanced DBS cleared & on the update service (or willing to apply)
EWC registered (or willing to apply)
Be able to provide 2 of your most recent references.
Have the right to work in the UK.
Have up to date safeguarding training or willing to take it. (Provided for free by Teaching Personnel)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
