Job Title: Compliance Manager
Salary £30,000 - £35,000 dependant on experience
Location: Goole

OVERVIEW:
My client has been the market leader for industrial and amenity weed control for 50 years, providing weed control and vegetation clearance services to local authorities, industry, utilities, power generators and the railway network. In recent years the company's portfolio has grown to include a wide range of specialist services to the UK rail industry.
Due to business needs my client is seeking an experienced Compliance Manager to join their team.
Your job will be to manage overall compliance with the use of Company Integrated Management System (IMS) and rail industry supplier qualification scheme (RISQS). To understand, thoroughly endorse and put into practice the Quality, Health, and Safety and Environmental policies and procedures underwritten and produced by the company.

THE ROLE:
Your key responsibilities will be
-To keep Directors informed of changes to legalisation and any HSQE issues which may arise
-To provide advice and guidance to managers and operators on compliance issues
-Audit and review management systems and ensure company working practices are compliant with current procedures
-To oversee internal audits ensuring audits are undertaken and corrective action plans completed
-With assistance from managers carry out risk assessments as required
-To maintain aspects and impacts register
-With assistance from managers produce method statements and work package plans for new and existing works
-To maintain the company controlled document register ensuring documents are up to date and reviewed annually
-To maintain training records and, with assistance from the operations team, coordinate training events and assessments as required to meet business needs
-To help prepare toolbox talks and assist with the delivery of briefings and updates ensuring procedures are understood, and new information is disseminated to all staff
-To maintain small tools and equipment register along with up to date service sheets and issue reminders are sent where service sheets are not provided on time
-To investigate accidents and incidents
-To ensure periodic compliance tasks are undertaken, i.e. PAT testing, fire safety inspections etc.
-To indorse, practice and promote the companies vision, mission and core values

THE CANDIDATE:
The individual must have
-Suitably qualified and experienced to meet the compliance requirements of current legislation
-Understanding of Company products and services
-NEBOSH General Certificate and IEMA Practitioner
-The ability to manage multiple projects without supervision
-Solid maths and IT skills
-The ability to problem solve
-Excellent communication and presentation skills
-The ability to communicate effectively at all levels
-The ability to be self-motivated and proactive

THE BENEFITS (include full salary):
-Full Time hours, working 5 out of 7 days, generally Monday to Friday but does require some flexibility on occasions due to business needs

-Salary from £30,000 to £35,000 dependant on experience
-Profit related bonus, if targets hit to be paid out twice a year
