Melanoma Medical Oncologist

The Division of Hematology, Oncology and Cell Therapy in the Department of Internal Medicine at Rush University Medical Center is recruiting a Melanoma Medical Oncologist at the associate or professor level. The successful candidate will be board certified in medical oncology and have demonstrated interest and academic productivity in a field of melanoma oncology. The successful candidate will be expected to work collaboratively with a growing multi-disciplinary melanoma oncology program, expand our large portfolio of clinical trials, and develop investigator-initiated trials. The predominant criteria include: a major commitment to research and scholarly activity that advances the field of medicine, teaching, excellence in clinical care, and institutional service appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill.



Our new, state-of-the-art Cancer Center facility in Chicago will serve as a hub for services throughout our health system. Our core programs are supported by multi-disciplinary teams from medical oncology, surgical oncology, radiation oncology, pathology, radiology, research and bioinformatics, clinical operations, and dedicated clinical and support staff, including patient navigators. This structure allows specialists to more easily consult and see patients based on tumor type or molecular and genomic signatures, combining our outstanding multidisciplinary approach with a data infrastructure that supports this patient-centered care. This integration enables us to make a greater commitment to research, dramatically scaling the effectiveness of clinical trials, and enabling translational research that moves bench to bedside, and bedside to bench.
